ISTD: Instructions For Submission Of Response Sheet

  1. On receipt of course materials, students are advised to check immediately the availability of al) the two Response Sheets at the end of booklet containing course communication. If anything is found missing, it should be intimated to the Diploma Office within 7 days of the receipt of materials.

  2. There are 2 (two) Response sheets in each paper.

  3. Weightage for two Response Sheets is 10/100.

  4. Questions are provided on each Response Sheet, attached at the end of course communications in the binder.

  5. Students are required to write their answers only for TWO QUESTIONS. It means that students have a choice to attempt only 2 questions wherever there are more 2 questions given in the Response Sheets.

  6. Students should work on Response Sheets independently and creatively. Photocopies will not be accepted. Copying from book(s) or from other student's Response Sheets will carry negative Marks. The faculty member may return such materials without assessment. In such cases, re- submission of fresh Response Sheets will be necessary to become eiigible fortaking the written examinations in the concerned paper, failing which the students will be allowed to appear in the subsequent next examination only.

  7. Re-submission of Response Sheets, if advised by the faculty will be accepted on payment of Rs. 100/- per paper through Demand Draft.

  8. Students are advised to use A-4 size sheets for writting the answer.

  9. The answer in Response Sheets should be neatly typed. If hand written, it must be legible otherwise the same will be returned unchecked.

  10. All two response Sheets pertaining to specific paper must be submitted in one lof, which will be forwarded to the examiner for assessment and whatever marks are assigned by the examiner on the response sheets will be treated out total of ten marks.

  11. As submission of Response Sheets is a pre-condition for taking the examinations, student's are advised to submit their Response Sheets before the given date. Response Sheets, if received after the last date of submission will be considered for the next examinations only. It should be clearly understood that a student can skip the first semester examinations, if he/she so desired and can take all the six papers in the second semester examinations after fultilling the conditions of submission of Response Sheets..

  12. Students will not be permitted to appear in the examinations in the paper for which Response Sheets have not been submitted/resubmitted in time. The return of Response Sheets will be subject to availability of self addressed and sufficiently stamped envelopes of proper size for each paperwhich must accompany response sheets. Please avoid sending small sized envelopes and for each individual response sheet, send a bigger self-addressed stamped envelopes for each paper. The same envelopes will be mailed back to you, containing the two Response Sheets.

  13. Students are expected to work on their Response Shests based not only on the course communications supplied by the Diploma Office but also should consult other sources on the subject covered in Diploma curriculum. While writting their answers to question in the Responss Sheets, students should concentrate on conceptual clarity and applied orientation in relation to subject(s) being dealt with.

  14. The 'Points to Remember' provided on the Response Sheet itself are to be strictly adhered.

  15. It will be worthwhile to retain with you a photocopy of your Response Sheets to avoid inconvenience due to mishap in postal transit.

  16. Please remember that you must indicate your Reg. No. Paper No. and Response Sheet No. on each page of your Response Sheet. The Diploma office will not entertain any responsibility for misplacement/loss of Response Sheets, if above particulars are not given on the response sheets themselves.
